I had the chance to work with Guillaume Meyer on the new splash screen for Adobe Substance 3D Sampler.Β We imagined this scene that showcase the new scan feature and express the fun aspect of creating material using the software.Β The idea was to blend 3D scanned objects (i.e. the link to the real world) and puffy objects (i.e. the user creative process) and make them live together in the PLAYGROUND.

3D SCAN
With the new version of Substance 3D Sampler 2022,Β you can now create high quality 3D scanned objects.
PUFFY SHAPE
Guillaume Meyer used a combination of Cinema4D and Substance 3D Modeler to create the abstract shapes.

SCENE
Composing the scene in Blender, using the new Blender plugin to load .sbsar material and tweak them directly in context. The fuzz was achieved using a simple hair particles. The lighting result in just one HDRI light and one area light. Cycles renderer was used for the final image.
